Sipping "green tea may be linked" to a lower incidence of depressive symptoms, a new study suggests.

For the study, researcher's surveyed elderly Japanese adults about their green tea consumption. The research team also evaluated the participants' symptoms of depression. In analyzing data on the study members, the scientists found that those who drank four or more cups of green tea each day were 44 percent less likely to have depressive symptoms (compared to those who drank one or fewer cups of green tea daily).
A good balanced diet has the potential to protect against depression when coupled with good self-care.
A recurring error in our reasoning as a society is to look for silver bullets that will solve our problems. There are no such silver bullets, unfortunately. This would be true for green tea or anything else.
